The history of the site is complex. Over time the old estate and original farm became fragmented into independently-owned elements of land and buildings.  Exploring this history and the layering of activities has allowed us to fully understand the current arrangement, guiding a master plan that retains the important and historic elements and responds to the future needs of the family, estate business and farm

We have worked closely with the new owners to prepare a phased master plan that sensitively re-orders and heals the scars of separation to bring back together the key existing elements of the principal estate house, farm buildings, workers’ cottage, garages, stables and other outbuildings, along with the creation of new buildings to support organic farming activities coupled with onsite sustainable energy generation

Planning consent was awarded by Horsham County Council and the South Downs National Park in April 2018
